AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WTITH SUNRAY D -X OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GAS-
OLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC
OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR
THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JANUARY 1, 1964. TO JUNE 30, 1964, AND PRESCRIBING THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON CIHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with
Sunray D -X Oil Company for the purchase of the following supplies for use by
the City from January 1, 1964 to June 30, 1961:
D -X Lubricating gasoline, octane rating 93.7, normal tank wagon price
.24.4 cents per gallon, discount .01$5 cents per gallon. D -X Boron Lubricating
gasoline, octane rating 99.7, .279 cents per Fallon, discount .062 cents per
gallon. In the event a temporary or subnormal consumer price is put into effect
and such price is lower than the established price with discount, the lower
price will apply.
Motor Oil in 55 -gallon drums as follows:
D -X Motor Oil, best premitim grade, detergent HD (not to be a fleet
oil) .57 cents per gallon; T.B.D. first grade, detergent HD .45 cents per
gallon; D -X Diamond motor oil, first grade, non -detergent .53 cents per gallon;
T.B.D. motor oil, Diesel, high deterrent .45 cents per gallon; Diamond
hydraulic oil .45 cents per Fallon; D -X Diesel fuel No. 2, .16 cents per gallon
discount .052 cents per Fallon. D -X all purpose Chassis Lubricant in 100-120
lb. drums .215 cents per pound, discount .02 cents per pound. D -X Brite gear
lube oil, weight 110 and 90 in 100-120 pound drums .13 cents per pound, dis-
count .02 cents per pound. Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans, $1.$5
per gallon, discount .36 cents per gallon. D -X Kerosene .169 cents per gallon,
discount .0575 cents per gallon.
All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the
10th day of the month following purchase, and the City is to have a one percent
cash discount in ten dors on motor oil and grease but no discount on anti-
freeze, and the City shall not be required to make a deposit on drums but all
drums are to be returned by the City.
TheCompany will furnish and install four (1) electrically operated
and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands, and will
furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground
tank.
All prices quoted above shall be guaranteed against advance in the
market price, and the Company, except as otherwise provided herein, is to
qyarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease of
any of the above items.

In the event of .fire or other emergency, the Company shall agree to
give twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the City
seven days per week.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and shall be in .full force and effect ten (10) days after
its adoption.
