API ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND DEFINING A SANITARY DIVISION FOR THE CITY
OF PADUCAH; CREATING POSITIONS AND SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEES IN SAID
DIVISION; PROVIDING SAID POSITIONS SHALL NOT BE UNDER CIVIL SERVICE",

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COPTIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KE14TUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted. on December 23, 1952, and amended on
May 22, 1962, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained
so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 2. That in order to perform the duties of refuse
collection and disposal as defined in the 'Refuse Collection and

positions of employment at the rate or pay specified:

The hourly wanes herein provided are for a regular work week of 44 hour
and wages shall he paid on a straight time basis up to and including said 41,
hours. The salaries of persons appointed to said positions shall be paid at
the same time and in the same manner as the salaries of other city employees
are paid.
Provided, however, truck drivers shall be paid at the rate of ti>1.1,3 per
hour for the first six months of their employment and '1.52 per hour thereaft(
Collectors shall be paid at the rate of g•1.36' per hour for the first six
months and 41.1,4 per hour thereafter. The increases in pal, to become effectil
on the first or the sixteenth day of the month nearest the date on which
said person has been employed for a period of six months."
SECTIOP: 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereb,;, repealed.
SECTION 3 This ordinance shall he in full force and effect on
and after February 1, 1963.
