ORDINANCE NO. 2001-7- 638-f
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE ACQUISITION OF REAL
PROPERTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH URBAN RENEWAL AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY IN CONNECTION
WITH THE FOUR RIVERS PERFORMING ARTS PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has directed, authorized and empowered the
City of Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency (the "Agency") to
acquire certain tracts of real property for the benefit of the City of Paducah in connection with
the Four Rivers Performing Arts Project; and
WHEREAS, toward this purpose the Agency has acquired properties for the
benefit of the City of Paducah and has caused deeds to be recorded in the McCracken County
Clerk's Office vesting title to the properties in the name of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to approve, ratify and accept the
conveyance of the properties directly to the City of Paducah and the execution of the
Consideration Certificate in the deeds by the Director of the Agency on behalf of the City of
Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE City of Paducah, Kentucky:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby formally approves ratifies, and accepts
the conveyance of certain real properties to the City of Paducah and the execution of the
Consideration Certificate in said deeds by the Director of the Agency on behalf of the City of
Paducah. The conveyances being approved and ratified are as follows:
a. Deed from James L. Adams, David Sullivan, Robert Jerry Bowden and
David McCartney, dated January 12, 2001, of record in Deed Book 949,
Page 191, McCracken County Clerk's Office. (216 South 2nd Street)
b. Deed from Lewis Beans and B. Jill Beans, dated March 16, 2000, of
record in Deed Book 932, Page 730, McCracken County Clerk's Office.

C. Deed from Millard Summarell and his wife, Kimberly Summarell, and
Riverside Wholesale Florist, Inc., dated October 12, 1999, of record in

d. Deed from Charles Simpson and his wife, Carolyn Simpson, dated
February 25, 2000, of record in Deed Book 931, Page 682, McCracken

e. Deed from Paper Supplies, Inc., dated January 16, 2001, of record in Deed
Book 949, Page 174, McCracken County Clerk's Office. (101 Washington

f. Deed from Ted W. Brian and his wife, Madonna Brian, dated January 18,
2001, of record in Deed Book 949, Page 270, McCracken County Clerk's

g. Deed from Paducah & Louisville Railway, Inc., dated May 11, 2000, of

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chap1
