KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE BLEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS under an ordinance adopted April 28, 1959, the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed
to extend the boundary of the city by annexing certain property lying
adjacent to the west corporate limits of said city, and
WHEREAS said ordinance proposing, such annexation and declaring the
desirability and necessity of same was published in Ten (10) issued of
the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in Paducah,
Kentucky, during the period of thirty (30) days immediately after the
enactment of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS after the adoption of said ordinance and before the
expiration of such thirty (30) day period, Tom Summers, a resident
and a freeholder in said territory, and others filed a Complaint of
Remonstrance in IvicCracken Circuit Court opposing such proposed annexation,
and
WHEREAS on July 12, 1963, and after the trial of the action, the
Judge of the McCracken Circuit Court rendered a judFment ordering; the
annexation of said property proposed to be annexed, which property is
hereinafter more particularly and accurately described, and
WHEREAS more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the rendition
and entry of said judgment in McCracken Circuit Court, and no appeal,
nor notice of appeal, has been filed as required by the applicable law,
and
WHEREAS the Clerk of the McCracken Circuit Court has certified the
Judgment rendered on July 12, 1963 to the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property be annexed
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particularly and
accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present city limits line
said point being the south east corner of the inter-
section of Highland Boulevard and the Lone Oak Road
(US 45); thence in a westerly direction and with the
southerly property line of the Lone Oak Road to a
point where the line dividing the property of Miller
and Smith would, if extended, intersect the southerly
property line of the Lone Oak Road; thence in a
northerly direction and along said extended propert}
line to the northerly property line of the Lone Oak
Road; thence in an easterly direction and along the
northerly property line of the Lone Oak Road to the
line dividing, the property of Miller and Sanders

Arcadia Subdivision; thence in a northerly direction
and along the line dividing the properties of Miller
and Sanders Arcadia Subdivision to the northwest
corner of Sanders Arcadia Subdivision, common corner
to Barkley; thence with the line dividing the lands
of Miller and Barkley, continuing; in a northerly
direction, to the southerly property line of the
Blandville Road; thence westerly along the southerly
property line of the Blandville Road 'to a point
where the easterly property line of Minerva Place
(Forty -Third Street) would, if extended, intersect
the southerly property line of said road; thence
in a northerly direction and with the easterly prop-
erty line of Minerva Place to a point in the present
city limits, said point being 109' south of the
south east corner of Minerva Place and Sunset Avenue;
thence in an easterly direction and with the present
city limits to the easterly property line of Cardinal
Lane (Forty -Second Street); thence continuing with
the present city limits in a northerly direction and
along the easterly property line of Cardinal Lane
(Forty -Second Street) to the south line of Lot 1,
Block 6-- Minerva Place Addition; thence continuing
with the present city limits in an easterly direction
and with the south line of Lot 1 to the west line of
Lot 7, Block 6 - Minerva Place Addition; thence con-
tinuing with the present city limits in a southerly
direction and with the west line of Lot 7 to the
south west corner of Lot 7; thence continuing with
the present city limits and with the south line of
Lot 7 and 8 - Minerva Place Addition in an easterly
direction to the east line of Block 6 - Minerva Place
Addition; thence in a southerly direction and with
the east line of Block 6 to the northerly property
line of the Blandville Road; thence in an easterly
direction and with the northerly property line of the
Blandville Road 1001; thence in a northerly direction
and parallel with the east line of Block 6, 369.23'
to the south line of the Loveless property; thence
in an easterly direction and with Loveless' sough
line 123' to Loveless' southeast corner; thence in
a northerly direction and with Loveless east line 130'
to the present city limits; thence with the present
city limits in an easterly direction to the center
line of a 30' road, the northerly extension of said
road dividing Blocks "F" and "E" Sunset Court Addition;
thence continuing with the present city limits, in a
southerly direction and with the center line of said
road to the northerly property line of the Blandville
Road; thence continuing with the present city limits
in an easterly and southerly direction to the north-
westerly line of Sanders Arcadia Subdivision; thence
continuing with the present city limits in a south
westerly and easterly direction to the westerly prop-
erty line of the Lone Oak Road; thence continuing with
the present city limits along the westerly and north-
erly line of the Lone Oak Road to the westerly property
line of Highland Boulevard if extended; thence contin-
uing with the present city limits across the Lone Oak
Road to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
