A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LANDS CIVINED BY THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
requested to advertise for sealed proposals for the purchase of
certain lands owned by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, situated in said
City, and briefly described as follows:
TRACT NO. 1
A tract of land fronting more than 1000 feet on
the Tennessee River and extending back from the
river to the City of Paducah floodwall, between
property of M. &M. Leasing Corporation and
property of Shell Oil Company, a distance of
approximately 220 feet along the boundary of
property of ii. & M. Leasinn Corporation and a
distance of approximately 76 .feet along the
boundary of property of Shell Oil Company,
together with right of ingress and egress from
and to Meyers Street, and subject -to certain
easements and rights-of-way thereon. For a more

in the City of Paducah Engineer's office.
TRACT NO. 2
A certain tract of land fronting approximately
X05 feet on Pleyers Street and extending back from
Meyers Street to the City of Paducah floodwall,
between property of Mi. & M. Leasing Corporation
and other property of City of Paducah, a distance
of approximately 113 feet along the boundary of
property of M. & M. Leasing Corporation and a
distance of approximately 68 feet along the boundary
of other City of Paducah property now being,'• used
for floodwall purposes, and subject to certain
easements and rights-of-way thereon. For a more

Paducah Eng'ineer's office.
SECTION 2. Such proposals shall be as follows:
(a) Each bidder shall state the cash price he will
pay for Tract No. 1, the cash price he will pay for Tract
No. 2, and the cash price he will pay for both Tracts Nos.
1 and 2. No separate bid on Tract No. 2 will be accepted if all
proposals are rejected as to Tract Pio. 1.
(b) Each proposal shall be accompanied with a certified
check or cashiers check in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of
the proposal to guarantee purchase if proposal is accepted.
SECTION 3. No sale will be made until the plat of said lands,
or the subdivision thereof has been approved by the Paducah Planning
Commission.
SECTION y._ The City Manager shall advertise for proposals
by placing notice in the Sun -Democrat at least 15 days prior to the

date of opening, and by such other additional advertising he may deem
advantageous.
SECTION 5. No proposal shall be received after the time fixed for
the opening- of same. All proposals shall be sealed and the Board of
Commissioners of said city reserves the right to reject any or all
proposals.
SECTION 6_ This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
