AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE NORTH CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
lying adjacent to the north corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to
said city, and that said property so proposed to be annexed is
accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point -on the north side of the Hinkleville
Road where the east line of a 36 foot lane, entrance into
Stuart Nelson Park intersects the north line of said road,
said point being in the present city limits line; thence in a
northerly direction with the east line of said lane, 1998 feet,
more or less; thence at a right deflection angle of 90 degrees
09 minutes in an easterly direction 648 feet to a stone;
thence at an interior angle of 89 degrees 25 minutes in a
northerly direction 461.2 feet; thence at an interior angle
of 118 degrees 57 minutes in a northwesterly direction 699.7
feet; thence at an interior angle of 259 degrees 24 minutes
in a northeasterlv direction 1072 feet, more or less to the
southeast corner of Lot 14, Block "E", Strathmoor Addition,
recorded in Plat Book "A", page 260; thence north 65 degrees
west 99 feet; thence south 64 degrees 57 minutes west 132 feet;
thence north 75 de Frees west 264 feet; thence south 25 degrees
45 minutes west 198 feet; thence south 12 degrees west 231 feet;
thence north 59 degrees west 181.5 feet; thence south 78
degrees west 165 feet; thence north 41 decrees west 387.8 feet
to Legeav's line and the west line of Stuart Nelson Park;
thence with the west line of Stuart Nelson Park in a southerly
direction 1505 feet, more or less; thence at an interior
angle of 102 degrees 09 minutes in a southeasterly direction
1396.0 feet, more or less to the west line of a 36 foot
lane; thence at a right deflection angle of 62 degrees 28 minutes
in a southerly direction and with the west line of the 36 foot
lane 1880.5 feet, more or less to the north line of the
Hinkleville Road; thence in an easterly direction with the
north line of the Hinkleville Road and with the present city
limits line a distance of 36 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in
Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun Democrat,
a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by
Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of
the city limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until
the adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in
Section 1 hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until
after publication of this ordinance as provided herein and until
the expiration of a period of thirty (30) days after such publication.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Under the provisions of Section 81.110
of Kentucky Revised Statutes that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30)

days after the adoption of this ordinance and publication as afore-
said, file a petition or complaint in the Circuit Court of. McCracken
County, Kentucky, setting forth the reasons why said territory, or
any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
