AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY BE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted August 9, 1966, the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain
property adjacent to the northwest corporate limits of same, which
property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
WHEREAS said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability and necessity of same has been published in the Sun
Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, as provided and required by Section 424.130 of Kentucky
Revised Statutes, and
WHEREAS a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment and publication of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting such extension of the corporate limits of
said City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property lying
adjacent tothe northwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be annexed to said City, the same being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point north of North 8th Street where the
present city limits line intersects the north right-of-way
line of the Floodwall; thence in a southerly direction and
with the present city limits line, crossing North 8th Street and
North 10th Street to the south property line of the Cairo Road;
thence in a westerly direction with the present city limits
line and the south property line of the Cairo Road to a point
50 feet west of the west property line of Atkins Avenue; thence
continuing with the present city limits line in a southerly
direction 50 feet from and parallel with Atkins Avenue to a point
in the north property line of a 15 foot alley, said point being
172.5 feet north of 13th Street; thence continuing with the present
city limits line in a westerly direction parallel with 13th
Street to a point 149 feet west of the west property line of Reed
Avenue if extended; thence in a southerly direction, with the
present city limits and parallel with Reed Avenue to the north
line of Noble Park; thence in a westerly direction and with
the present city limits and the north line of Noble Park a
distance of 1352.4 feet to the northwest corner of the original
Noble Park; thence in a southerly direction, continuing with

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
