A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE DOWNTOWN PADUCAH KIWANIS CLUB AND THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY ON BROADWAY FOR
RECREATIONAL USE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to execute a lease between the Downtown Paducah Kiwanis Club and the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, in words and figures as follows:
"THIS LEASE made and entered into on this the day of
September, 1966 between the DOWNTOWN PADUCAH KIWANIS CLUB OF
Paducah, Kentucky, a Corporation, party of the first part and
the CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, party of the second part,
W I T N E S S E T H:
"THAT the party of the first part does hereby lease to
partv of the second part its property, premises and facilities
situated on the north side of Broadway between 17th Street and
19th Street, and being the same property conveyed to party of
the first part by THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, on June 17,
1947 by deed of record in Deed Book 429, page 492 in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
"The term of said Lease shall be five (5) years from the
13th day of September, 1966 and party of the second part is to
pay to party of the first part the sum of One Dollar ($1.00)
per year as rental for said period.
"Said premises are to be occupied and used only for recrea-
tional activities by the CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
"The party of the second part is to pay all utilities,
procure sufficient public liability insurance, fire and other
casualty insurance with the first party as named beneficiary;
will continue normal maintenance, and will make no alterations
to the building without the approval of the party of the first part,
and shall take good care of said premises and return the same in
as good condition as it now is when received by the party of the
second part, ordinary wear and tear and accidents by fire or
other casualty excepted.
"IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto
set their hands on this the day and year first above written.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
