AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
lying adjacent to the west corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky and more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to
said city, and that said property so proposed to be annexed is
accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present city limits line. said
point being where the west property line of Bellevue Drive
if extended would intersect the north property line of Phillips
Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and with the north
property line of Phillips Avenue 89 feet, more or less, to
the east line of lot "C" in the re -subdivision of part of
Lots 4 and 5 in Ordhard Heights Subdivision, as shown by plat
recorded in Plat Book "C", Page 50, McCracken County Court
Clerkts Office; thence in a northerly direction with the east
line of Lot "C" 259.3 feet to the northeast corner of Lot "C";
thence in a westerly direction and with the north line of
Lot "C", 50 feet to the southeast corner of Lot "A" in the
same subdivision as shown recorded above; thence in a northerly
direction and with the east line of Lot "A", 213.95 feet to
the south property line of Minnich Avenue; thence in a westerly
direction and with the south property line of Minnich Avenue
200 feet to the northwest corner of Lot "B"; thence in a
southerly direction and with the west line of Lot "B" 213:95
feet to a point in the southwest corner of Lot "B", said
point also being in the north line of Lot "E"; thence in a
westerly direction and with the north line of Lot "Ell, Lot "F"
and Lot "C", 200 feet to the northwest corner of Lot "G";
thence in a southerly direction and with the west line of
Lot "G" 263.09 feet to the north property line of Phillips
Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and with the north
property line of Phillips Avenue 980 feet, more or less, to a
point where the present city limits located south of Phillips
Avenue wound, if extended northerly across Phillips Avenue,
intersect the north property line of Phillips Avenue; thence
southerly with the extension of said existing city limits
line to the south property line of Phillips Avenue; thence
easterly with the south property line of Phillips Avenue,
the present city limits line 1500.76 feet to the west property
line of Bellevue Drive; thence in a northerly direction and
with the west property line of Bellevue Drive extended to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun
Democrat, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required
by Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of
the city limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until
the adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in
Section 1 hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until
after publication of this ordinance as provided herein and until the
expiration of a period of thirty (30) days after the publication of
this ordinance.

Notice is hereby fiven under the provisions of Section 81.110
of Kentucky Revised Statutes, that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30)
days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the
Circuit Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the reasons
why said tertiroty, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION l,. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
