HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1005, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADJUSTING THE RATES OF PAY FOR CERTAIN NON -CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED ON MARCH 16, 1957, AND A14ENDED ON MARCH 22, 1966 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1.. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the .title quoted above, which was adopted on March 16, 1957, and amended on March 22 ,1966, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That the monthly or hourly rate of compensation of the following non -civil service employees of the City of Paducah shall be the amount set opposite the designation of.such employment, to -wit: Position Base Monthly Salary Corporation Counsel $540.00 Assistant Corporation Counsel 345.00 Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court) 400.00 Director of Public Works 5$5.00 Assistant Director of Public :°loris 535.00 City Physician No. l 760.00 City Physician No.. 2 210.00 Secretary to City Judge 260.00 Clerk Typist in Engineering Department 225.00 Field Office Helper 420.00 Housing Code Enforcement Officer (l position) 350.00 Housing Code. Officer & Assistant Building Inspector (1 position) 390.00 Temporary Clerk in Finance Office (3 positions) 210.00 Superintendent of Oak Grove Cemetery 365.00 Telephone Operator 250.00 Meter Maids (2 positions) 270.00 Stenographer - Record Room 270.00 Clerk -Typist No. 2 in Inspector's Office 225.00 Base Hourlv Rate Janitor $1.63 Assistant Janitor (2 positions) 1.33 Maintenance Department (Non -Civil Service) Meter Technician (1 position) 1,9E 'No. 2 Maintenance Man (1 position) 1.$$ Maintenance Helper (1 position) 1.78 Temporary Laborers in Cemetery Department 1.63 1005 j 1006 The Secretary to the City Judge shall be paid at the rate of $260.00 per month for the first year of employment and at the expiration of one year the rate of pay shall be $270.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Clerk -typist in the Engineering Department shall be paid at the rate of $225.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $240.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $255-00 'Per month and at the expiration of two years $265.00 per month, sucn increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Housing Code Enforsement Officer shall be paid at the rate of $350.00 per month for the first six months of employment, at the expiration of six months $360.00 per month, and at the expiration of one year $370.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Housing Code Officer and Assistant Buildinr-, Inspector shall be paid at the rate of $390.00 per month for the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months the salary shall be increased to $400.00 per month, such increase to be made upon the recommendation of the City Manager. The Telephone Operator shall be paid at the rate of $250.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of•six months $260.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $2$0.00 per month and at the expiration of one and one-half years $290.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. Meter Maids shall be paid at the rate of $270.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $2$0.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $290..00 per month and at the expiration of two years $300.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Stenoa_rapher - Record Room shall be paid at the rate of $270.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of sir. months $280.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $290.00 per month and at the expiration of two years $300.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Clerk -typist No. 2 (Inspector's Office)_ shall be paid at the rate of $225.00 per month.for the.first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $2110.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $255.00 per month and at the expiration of two years $265.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. 1007 The Janitor shall be paid at the rate of $1.63 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $1.68 per month and at the expiration of one year $1.73 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. Assistant Janitors shall be paid at the rate of $1.33 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $1.38 per hour and at the expiration of one year $1.43 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Meter Technician shall be paid at the rate of $1.98 per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be $2.03 per hour, such increase to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The No. 2 Maintenance Man shall be paid at the rate of $1.88 per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be $1.93 per hour, such increase to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Maintenance Helper shall be paid at the rate of $1.78 per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be $1.83 per hour, such increase to be made inion recommendation of the City Manager. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
