Gentlemen:
We are pleased to submit herein our proposal for professional
engineering services:
(a) Prepare a Supplemental Report on Relief Sewers for the
Combined System, bringing up to date the 'Master Plan
Report - Sanitary, Storm, and Combined Sewers' pre-
sented January 27, 1961, and
(b) Prepare a sewerage system rate study and report, in-
cluding a recommended rate schedule,
(c) Prepare necessary applications for Federal funds avail-
able to finance the proposed construction.
The supplemental report will be based upon and developed from said
Master Plan Report, but will present the newly accumulated evidence
of sanitary pollution from the existing system and orient the proposed
improvements to projects involving alleviation of the health hazards
presented. This will require some modification of Steps I and II as
originally presented.
The rate study will be prepared in sufficient detail to present a recom-
mended revision to the existing sewerage system rate schedule to pro-
vide the necessary financing and operation of the improvements proposed
in the Supplemental Report.
In both the report and rate study, consideration will be given
to the availability of Federal funds under the recently enacted
Public Works Acceleration Act' and other sources.
Maps and estimates of construction costs for the improvements will
be brought up to date.
Thirty (30) copies of the completed report, including the rate study
will be furnished.
The Engineers agree that all services shall be rendered by engineer-
ing personnel qualified for the particular work, and all such
services so rendered shall be under the direction of a professional
engineer licensed to practice in the State of Kentucky. The
Engineers further agree to obtain the approval of the State Board
of Health for the proposed plan of improvements.
If this proposal is accepted, the Engineers agree to begin work within
seven (7) days after notification, and to proceed as expeditiously as
possible to completion.
