A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW 1963 HALF TON PICK-UP TRUCK
FOR USE BY THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C014-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City !-Tanager be, and he is hereby,
requested to advertise .for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky of one (1) new 1963 half ton pick-up truck for use by the
Engineering Department of the City, having the following specifications:
8 foot long body, with fender wells inside wide body,
wheel base approximately 127 inches, 6 or 8 cylinder
engine of 155 or more horse power, frith air cleaner,
oil filter, directional signals, 2 speed electric
windshield wipers, 15" wheels and spare wheel with
tire, truck heater fresh air type, automatic trans-
mission, positive traction rear axle, rear bumper.
Color of truck black.
Body of truck to have an aluminum enclosed top made by a
body manufacturer experienced in this work. Top to be
of same height as the roof of the truck cab and of same
width as truck body. Back panel and rear panel to have
glass windows.
Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for
the purchase of the truck he offers for sale, and also the amount of
such purchase price to be allowed by accepting as trade-in one (1)
1954 G.B.C. Canopy Express one-half ton truck.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids
by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less l
than seven days nor more than twenty-one days before the date fixed IIII
for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same.
All bids received by the City Bianager up to the time .fixed in the
notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder. �I

The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any
and all bids, and the City shall not become legally obligated to
any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a purchase contract.
SECTS This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
