HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 795, No Resolution Number795 ,//,-1 A RESOLUTION AP.'IENDING THE FOURTH LITERARY PARAGRAPH OF THE PREAMBLE OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COPZIl ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AT ITS ADJOURNED MEETING ON JULY 17, 1962, ENTITLED "A RESOLUTIM OF WE BOARD OF COMjISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AUTHORIZING THE URBAN RENE+IAL AND COP-94PNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF SAID CITY TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN PROPERTY IPI THE DOWNTOWN CIVIC CENTER PROJECT, KY. R-30", APID DETERP,IINING THE DESIRABILITY OF OBTAINING FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, AND AMENDING SECTION SIX OF SAID RESOLUTION: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the fourth literary paragraph of the preamble contained in the resolution as above entitled, whibh Was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on July 17, 1962, be amended so that same as amended shall read as follows: "WHEREAS on July 16 1962, the Local Public Agency adopted a Resolution i requesting the Housing and Hone Finance Agency for consent to acquire certain land within the project area during the planning stage, which properties are generally described as Block Five as shown on the Property Ownership Nlap, bounded on the north by 19ashington Street, on the east by Fourth Street, on the south by Clark Street, and on the west by Fifth Street, and parcel Three of Block One, and Parcel Eight of Block One, located on the south side of i Kentucky Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets and on the northwest corner of Third and Washington Streets in the City of Paducah; and" SECTION 2. That Section 6 of the Resolution as above entitled, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on Julv 17, 1962, be amended so that same as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 6 That the City of Paducah will • purchase the aforesaid properties for the construction of a new city hall and for relocating I and constructing a new central fire station, from the Local Public Agency at such time and in such manner as the Housing and Home Finance i Agency regulations permit disposal thereof by the Local Public Agency.1, SECTION _�.
