A RESOLUTIOP: REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW PODIUM PRICE CLASS FOUR DOOR SEMAN,
AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON 49HICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE
MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested
to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah, Kentucky
of one (1) new medium price class, 1963 four -door sedan autos:obile
having the following specifications:
Standard equipment to be described emploetely by each bidder;
and to be equipped with power brakes; power steering; automatic
transmission; heater and white -hall tires.
Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for
the purchase of the automobile he offers for sale, and also the
amount of such purchase price to be allowed by accepting as trade-in
one (1) 1961 Ford Four -door Sedan, being Police Car No. 2, less the
siren and radio which will be removed from said police car.
Each bidder shall state in his bid the popular name and model
upon which he bids, and if requested will exhibit at the City Hall
to the City Officials a similar car of the model bid upon with the
equipment offered, and must state the length of time required for
delivery after a contract is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of,the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than
seven (7) days nor mo:•e than twenty-one (21) days before the date
fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no
bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the
opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the
time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with
the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and

best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right
to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally
obligated to any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing

the execution of a purchase contract.
BECTIO14 3. This resolution shall be in full .force and effect
from and after its adoption.
