AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN
COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 14 OF
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1961, AND AMENDING SAID SECTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah -McCracken
County Planning Commission on July 18, 1962, entitled "A RESOLUTION
CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REVISION OF SECTION 14 OF THE PADUCAH ZONING
ORDINANCE - 1961" shall be, and it is hereby, approved as the final
report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That Section 14 of the Paducah Zoning Ordinance - 1961
(Ordinance Book 14, page 507 shall be, and it is hereby, amended, so
"The above zones and boundaries of such zones are hereby
established as shown on the Map entitled *City of Paducah -
Planning Area -Zone Map', dated 1961 (consisting of one sheet
and identified by the signatures of the Commission Chairman
and the Mayor of the City, duly attested by the Clerk of the
City, which Map accompanies this ordinance and is on file in
the office of the Commission), and is also shown on the Map
entitled 'City of Paducah -Zone Map', dated April 1962, (con-
sisting of two sheets and identified by the signatures of the
aforesaid parties, which Map also accompanies this Ordinance
and is also on file in the office of the Commission.) Said
that in its amended state it will read as follows:
D "S 14. Establishment of Zones. For the purpose of this
ordinance, the City of Paducah is hereby divided into thirteen

fy & S C-1 Conservancy Zone
tR-1 One -Family Zone
R-2 One -Family Zone
R-3 Two -Family Zone
R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone
B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone
B-2 Downtown Business Zone
B-3 General Business Zone
B-4 Commercial Zone
B-5 Shopping Center Zone
M-1 General Industrial Zone
M-2 Industrial Zone
M-3 Heavy Industrial Zone
"The above zones and boundaries of such zones are hereby
established as shown on the Map entitled *City of Paducah -
Planning Area -Zone Map', dated 1961 (consisting of one sheet
and identified by the signatures of the Commission Chairman
and the Mayor of the City, duly attested by the Clerk of the
City, which Map accompanies this ordinance and is on file in
the office of the Commission), and is also shown on the Map
entitled 'City of Paducah -Zone Map', dated April 1962, (con-
sisting of two sheets and identified by the signatures of the
aforesaid parties, which Map also accompanies this Ordinance
and is also on file in the office of the Commission.) Said

'City of Paducah -Zone Map' being of a scale which permits
easier interpretation, it shall take precedence over said i

'City of Paducah - Planning Zrea - Zone Map' in the matter of
determination of zone boundaries in the area jointly covered li
by both of said Maps, but it is the purpose and intent hereof
that said Maps shall be compatible and consistent in the
designation of zones, and shall be so maintained, each being
revised periodically to reflect all changes in zone boundaries
effected hereafter. Said Maps and all explanatory matter
thereon are herebyadopted and made a
P part of this Ordinance,
and copies thereof shall be filed of record in the office of
the Clerk of the McCracken County Court.
"Upon annexation of new areas to the City of Paducah,
such areas shall automatically be classified and zoned accord-
ing to the plan shown on the Map entitled 'City of Paducah -
Planning Area -Zone Map', until such time as this ordinance may
be amended to provide otherwise.
"References throughout this ordinance to 'Zone Map' or
'Zoning Map' or 'Map!, shall be construed to mean the com-
bination of the two maps referred to above in this Sectiob 14."
A SECTION 3. That the zone classifications of the properties shown

on the map entitled "City of Paducah -Zone Map" shall be fixed and
determined as shown thereon, a copy of which map accompanies the
resolution referred to in Section 1 hereof, and, to the extent
necessary in that respect, said Paducah Zoning Ordinance - 1961
and any map previously in effect pursuant to the terms of said
Ordinance shall be, and they are hereby, amended to effect such
zone classifications.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid

for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
