AN ORDINANCE AMENDING section 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH W. H. YANCY FOR THE RESURFACING OF FOUR (4) TENNIS COURTS IN
NOBLE PARK, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON JUNE 12, 1962
WHEREAS on May 8, 1962, the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Paducah adopted a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to

advertise for bids for resurfacing four (4) tennis courts in Noble

Park consisting of approximately 2,933 square yards and prescribing
terms, conditions and specifications for such work, and
WHEREAS bids were advertised for and the only bid submitted
was by W. H. Yancy for the sum of $1,965.11, and
WHEREAS on June 12, 1962 the Board of Commissioners adopted an
Ordinance awarding to said W. H. Yancy a contract for the resurfacing
of such tennis courts,and
WHEREAS it was intended that the hour (4) tennis courts containing
approximately 2,933 square yards are situated in Barkley Park instead
of Noble Park, but through error in drafting the resolution and
ordinance Noble Park was designated instead of Barkley Park.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of the ordinance referred to above

be, and it is hereby, amended so that same as amended shall read i
as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, ane he is hereby,
authorized to execute a contract with W. H. Yancy for the resurfacing
of four (4) tennis courts in Barkley Park in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, consisting of approximately 2,933 square yards, under the
following terms, conditions and specifications:
"All areas to be cleaned of all loose materials, leveling
course to be used in places where needed, clean expansion joints i
and broken places and fill with filler joint mix 7-26-1 O.A. No. 2

to State Specifications. (2) coats of Bitucote Plexicrome green
color, 1
i gallons per 100 sq. ft. (2) coats of Bitucote Sandfex i
filler, 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. ++i
The amount to be paid for such resurfacing including all
labor and material shall be the sum of $1,965.11."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
