A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR RESURFACING FOUR (1F) TENNIS COURTS IN NOBLE PARK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY: I
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for the resurfacing of four (4)
tennis courts in Noble Park in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, consisting I+
of approximately 2,933 square yards, and said work to be done under the i
following terms, conditions and specifications:
All areas to be cleaned of all loose materials; leveling course to be
I
used in places where needed; clean expansion joints and broken places and
I
fill with filler joint mix 7-26-1 O.A. No. 2 to State Specifications. (2) I
coats of Bitucote Sandfex filler, 2 gallons. per 100 sq. ft. (2) coats
I
of Bitucote Plexicrome green color, 1-zL gals. per 100 sq. ft.

The successful bidder shall execute a performance bond in the sum of
$1000 to insure proper performance and completion of said work, and in addition !
thereto will be required to keep in full force and effect liability insurance
protecting the City from any claims for injuries to persons or property in the
following amounts:

$50,000 for personal injury or death to any one person
$100,000 for personal injury or death to more than one person
resulting from the same acident, and
$10,000 for damage to property in any one accident.
SECTION 2. The City Idanager shall advertise for sealed bids by posting
a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids
in the Sun Democrat to be published not less than seven (7) days nor more than I
twenty-one (21) days before the date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids
shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice
for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Tianager up to the time II
fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of
it
Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder, and the Board
of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City 'I
shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of the purchase contract. I
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
