AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY ASPHALT SALES COMPANY
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF RC -O TO 5 AND MC -0 TO 5 LIQUID ASPHALT
REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING THE YEAR 1962; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF SAID MATERIAL; AND PRESCRIBING THE TER14S AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Kentucky Asphalt Sales Company for
the sale to the City of Paducah of all MC -0 to 5 and RC -O to 5
liquid asphalt required by the City of Paducah during the year 1962
be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase upon the order
of said city all of such asphalt to be used during 1962 at the following
prices:
Liquid asphalt delivered by transport with insulated trailers
at $0.1212 per gallon, F. D. P. 6th & Campbell Streets Paducah,
Kentucky, or to any point designated by the City of Paducah,
and by railroad insulated tank car at $0.1217 per gallon, F.D.B.
6th & Campbell Streets, Paducah, Kentucky.
Said contract shall also contain all the terms, conditions and
specifications contained in a Resolution authorizing the advertisement
for bids :•rhich was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said Citv
on March 6, 1962. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in
the market price and a guarantee shall be provided for reduction in
price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and said
Company shall post a performance bond in the sum of $2,500.00
guaranteeing specifications and delivery. Thers of payment shall be
1% ten (10) days, Net thirty (30) days.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a Regular
Meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at
least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
