AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF MONROE STREET AT 31ST STREET
AND A PORTION OF TWO (2) ALLEYS SITUATED BETIVEEN 31ST STREET, 32ND
STREET, MONROE STREET AND MADISON STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of (a) all that portion of Monroe Street
from the west line of 31st Street to the north line of Paducah
and Illinois Railroad Company right-of-way, (b) all that portion
of the alley between 31st Street and 32nd Street situated between
the south line of Madison Street and the north line of Paducah
and Illinois Railroad Company right-of-way, and (c) all that
portion of the alley between Monroe Street and Madison Street
situated between the west line of 31st Street and the north
line of Paducah and Illinois Railroad Company right-of-way.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah
is hereby authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute
pursuant to the provisions of KRD 94.360 a suit in the McCracken
Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the portion
of the street and alleys referred to in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
