AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF
LOREN M. JONES AND WIFE, NELL W. JONES, LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, DEFINING
ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COD04ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
(property of Loren M. Jones and wife,Nell W. Jones,) adjacent to
the west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, more
particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to said city, and
that said property so proposed to be annexed is described as follows:
Being Lot No. 13 of Windsor Woods Subdivision
as shown by plat of said subdivision, of
record in Plat Book "F", page 47, McCracken
County Court Clerk's office, and beginning
at a point on the north right of way of the
Pines Road, said point being North 42 degrees
42 minutes East 510 feet and measured along
said North right of way from its intersec-
tion with the east right of way of Friedman
Lane; thence north 47 degrees 18 minutes west
120 feet to a point; thence north 30 degrees
16 minutes East 136.32 feet to a point;
thence south 59 degrees 54 minutes east 153.43
feet to a point• thence south 42 degrees 42
minutes west 169.50 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in
Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun -
Democrat, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided and required
by KRS 424.130 (1) (b), and the extension of the city limits as herein
proposed shall not become effective until t#e adoption of an ordinance
annexing the property described in Section 1 hereof as herein provided,
and such ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of this
ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a period
of thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance.
Notice is hereby given under the provisions of Section 81.110
of Kentucky Revised Statutes that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30)
days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the
Circuit Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the
reasons why said territory, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION A. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
