HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 623, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ABUTTING THE WEST SIDE OF 24TH STREET BETWEEN OHIO STREET AND JACKSON STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:; KENTUCKY; SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah -McCracken County Planning Commission on October 18, 1961, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING!; THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ABUTTING THE WEST SIDE OF 24TH STREET BETWEEN OHIO STREET AND JACKSON STREET", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby changed from R-2 One -Family Residential to B-1 N.eighborhoodll j' Business: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of 24th Street and Dhio Street; thence west along the center line of Ohio Street 248.26 feet; thence at right angles north 198 feet; thence con- tinuing north at an interior angle of 153 degrees 5 minutes I 40.31 feet; thence continuing north at an interior angle of 206 degrees 55 minutes to the center line of Jackson Street; thence east with the center line of Jackson Street to the center line of Beltline Highway; thence southeast with the center line of Beltline Highway to the center line of 24th Street; thence south with the center line of 24th Street to the beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance - 1961 and the map referred to in Section 14 thereof entitled "CITY OF PADUCAH-PLANNING AREA - ZONE MAP" be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided for in Section'2 hereof) SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective of invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
