AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES}
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", TInIICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED JANUARY 23, 1961
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, ITNTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 9 of the "Appointive Employees? Civil
Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on December 2, 1947, and amended January 23, 1961, be, and the same
is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 9. There is hereby authorized and created the 'A�;r:L.i�:
following positions not assigned to any department of the City of --�t
Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the City Manager, and !!��```J
the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is z6j, "S/
not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted
shall be as follows:

Secretary to City Manager and Mayor 275.00
Social Jorker 200.00
Maintenance
Chief of 1•aintenance Division 390.00
Maintenance Man (1 position) 275.00
P.Iaintenance Helper (1 position) (Effective 9-1-61) 250.00
Inspections
Building & Electrical Inspector 425.00
Clerk -typist 240.00
The Secretary to the Mayor and City Manager shall be paid at the
rate of ?250.00 per month for the first six months of employment;
3260.00 per month for the next twelve months of employment and .;?275.00
per month thereafter. Such increases to be made upon recommendation of
the City Manager.
Clerk -typist under this section shall be paid at the rate
of :}210.00 per month for the first six months of employment, ;x220.00
per month for the next six months, ?230.00 per month for the next
six months and ;0240.00 per month thereafter upon recommendation of
the City Manager.

The Building ?:Electrical Inspector shall perform the duties
formerly performed by the Building Inspector and the Electrical
Inspector, and said Building °: Electrical Inspector shall be
under the direct supervision of the City Manager."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
