AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE VTEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
4HEREAS, under an ordinance adopted March 17, 1959, the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain
property lying adjacent to the *crest corporate limits of said City,
which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability of same has been published in ten (10) issues of the
Sun Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in Paducah,
Kentucky during a period of thirty (30) days immediately after the
enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the
McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CON IISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTIO14 1. That the hereinafter described property be annexed
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north property line of the
Blandville Road, said point being 161? east of the north east
corner of the intersection of Cardinal Lane (42nd St.) and the
Blandville Road; thence in a northerly direction and with Nolan's
east line, 369.234; thence in an easterly direction and parallel
with the present city limits 123? to the southeast corner of a
lot owned by Loveless; thence in a northerly direction and with
Loveless east line 130? to the present city limits; thence in a
westerly direction and with the present city limits 223?, to the
east line of Block 6, Minerva Place Addition, recorded in Plat Book
A., pages 248, 249; thence in a southerly direction and with the east
line of Block 6, 499.23? to the north property line of the Blandville
Road; thence in an easterly direction and with the north property
line of the Blandville Road 100? to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
