API ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KEENTUCK`C BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURAlI;LY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED VII'1HIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, UNDER AN ordinance adopted March 24, 1959, the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain
property lying adjacent to the ;rest corporate limits of said city,
which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
, REAS, SAID ORDINANCE PROPOSING SUCH ANNEXATION AND DECLARING
the desirability of same has been published in ten (10) issues of the
Sun Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in Paducah,
Kentucky during a period of thirty.(30) days immediately after the
enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the
I•IcCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits.
N0:•J THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI14ED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property be annexed
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the present city limits intersects
the east property line of Minerva Place or Forty-third Street,
said point being 1091 south of the south east corner of the inter-
section of 1•inerva Place and Sunset Avenue; thence in a southerly
direction and with the easterly property line of :anerva Place and
said property line extended, to the south property line of the
31andville Road; thence in an easterly direction and with the south
property line of the Blandville Road to a common corner with Miller
and Barkley; thence in a southerly direction with I.1iller*s east line
and with the line dividing the properties of Miller and Barkley,
also Miller and Sanders Arcadia Subdivision to the north property
line of the Lone Oak Road (U.S. 45); thence in a westerly direction
and with the north property line of the Lone'Oak Road to Miller's
west line, common corner to Smith; thence in a northerly direction
with ;._illerps west line and the east property line of Smith and
Petter to the south property line of the Blandville Road; thence
in an easterly direction and with the south property line of the
Blandville Road to a point where the west property line of Minerva
Place, if extended, would intersect the south property line of the
Blandville Road; thence in a northerly direction and with the crest
property line of Minerva Place and said property line estended,
to the present city limits; thence in an easterly direction and
with the present city limits 50 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTIOII 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
