HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 430, No Resolution Number43 0 j t 10 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE (1) BASE UNIT OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) base unit of communication equipment for the City of Paducah Police Department having the following specifications: Generale Equipment must be so designed that it will meet all FCC rules for 30 FC channel assignments, with quiet channel equipment installed, to operate in the band 148-174 MC, installed in cabinet for desk mounting. Supply Voltage 117 volts at 60 cycles Transmitter: RF Power Output 50 watts Modulation Plus or minus 5 KC for 100j'o Spurious Emission I4inus 65 db everywhere Frequency Stability Plus or minus .0005% obtained 1 use of hermatically sealed quartz crystals, mounted in temperature controlled oven Audio Input Transistorized desk type micro] Keyed By the use of foot switch Receiver: Type of Circuit Crystal controlled, fixed fre- quency double superheterodyne Sensitivity Not less than 0.6 microvolts f 20 db noise quieting Selectivity Down at least 100 db for plus minus 20 KC Spurious Response a -y least minus 100 db Stability Plus or minus 0.0005io' obtained the use of hermatically sealed quartz srystal, mounted in temperature controlled oven Squelch Control 0.2 to 0.5 microvolts Audio Output 1 watt at 4 or 600 ohms Installation All equipment to be installed carry standard 90 day warranty SECTIOI? 2. The City Ltanager shall advertise for sealed bids by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published not less than seven (7) days nor more than twenty=one (21) days before the the 431 date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City A4anager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legaJ-1y obligated to any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of the purchase contract. SECTION 3.
