OF AN E;ECUTIVE DIRECTTOR OF URBAN RENEWAL
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C%IIISSIOPIERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created and established an
"Urban Renewal Advisory Board" for the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
consisting of five (5) members to be appointed by motion of the
Board of Commissioners of the City for terms of five (5) years,
except the first appointments shall be one member for a term of
one year, one member for a term of two years, onb member for a term
of three years, one member for a term of four years and one member
for a term of five years. Any member of the Board may be removed
at any time by a majority vote of the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 2. There is hereby created the position of Executive
Director of Urban Renewal who shall be appointed for an indefinite
term by the Board of Commissioners and may be removed from such
position at any time by a majority vote of the Board of Commissioners.
The person appointed Executive Director of Urban Renewal shall be an
ex -officio member of the Urban Renewal Advisory Board.
SECTION 3. The Urban Renewal Advisory Board shall be an
advisory board only, and after appointment may convene, elect a
chairman and secretary and fix the time and place for the holding
of its meetings. The Urban Renewal Advisory Board shall advise the
Board of Commissioners of the city on all and any State and Federal
laws, rules and proceedings applicable or pertaining to urban renewal
or development.
SECTION 4. The City of Paducah shall not be bound or
obligated in any manner by any action of the Urban Renewal Advisory
Board or the Executive Director or Urban Renewal unless approved
by motion, resolution or ordinance of the Board of Commissioners
of the City.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
