AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY; DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SUCH TERRITORY TO BE
ANNEXED TO SAID CITY; AIlD DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND IIECESSITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CONMISSIOflERS OF TILS' CITY OF
It is hereby proposed that certain territory
adjacent to the :rest corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, and that said property so proposed to be annexed
Beginning at a point where the present city limits intersects
the east property line of i=Iinerva Place or rorty -third Street,
said point being 109, south of the south east corner of the inter-
section of Minerva Place and Sunset Avenue; thence in a southerly
direction and with the easterly property line of Minerva Place and
said property line extended, to the south property line of the
Blandville Road; thence in an easterly direction and with the south
property line of the Blandville Road to a common corner with Eiller
and Barkley; thence in a southerly direction with P.Iiller,s east line
and with the line dividing the properties of Miller and Barkley
also Miller and Sanders Arcadia Subdivision to the north property
line of the Lone Oak Road (U.3.45); thence in a westerly direction
and with the north property line of the Lone Oak Road to Millers
west line, common corner to Smith; thence in a northerly direction
with Millers west line and the east property line of Amith and
Petter to the south property line of the Blandville Road; thence
in an easterly direction and with the south property line of the
Blandville Road to a point where the west property line of Ninerva
Place, if extended, would intersect the south property line of the
Blandville Road; thence in a northerly direction and with the west
property line of Minerva Place and said property line extended,
to the present city limits; thence in an easterly direction and
with the present city limits 50 feet to the point of beginning.
It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
This ordinance shall be published in at least ten
(10) issues of the Sun Democrat, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky,
and the extension of the city limits as herein proposed shall not
become effective until 'the adoption of an ordinance annexing the
property described in Section 1 hereof as herein proposed, and such
ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of this ordinance
as provided herein and until the expiration of a period of thirty
(30) days after the passage of 'this ordinance.

Notice is hereby given of a. provision of Section 81.110 of
Kentucky Revised Statutes that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty
(30) days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in
the Circuit Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth
the reasons why such territory, or any part of it, should not be
annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
