AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KING-WOODALL MOSORS, INC.
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF THREE (3) NEW 1961 AUTOMOBILES FOR USE
IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City -of Paducah, Kentucky accept the bid
of King -Woodall Motors, Inc. in the sum of $6,838.74, less $2,061.00
for trade-in of 1958 Chevrolets Serial Nos. B58S-220731sans B58S-220752,
and 1952 Chevrolet Serial No. KAA325505, making a total delivery cost
of $4,777.74 for the sale to the city of three (3) new 1961 Ford Fairlane
Four Door Sedans having the following specifications: Engine - V-8;
heater; air cleaner; oil filter; directional signals; five standard first
line 4 -ply tires with spare wheel; automatic transmission; double pulley;
15 -inch wheels; spotlight installed that is to be furnished by the City;
painted according to City of Paducah specifications. Such automobiles
to be delivered to the city within two or three weeks.after the execution
of the purchase contract.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract for the purchase of said motor vehicles as
set out in Section 1.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least -one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
