AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAM F. ROTTGERING
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF FIVE (5) NEW FEDERAL THUNDERBOLT
MODEL 1000 SIRENS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPiTSNT, FOR USE BY THE CIVIL
DEFENSE ALERTING SYSTEM, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
SUCH PURCHASE SIiALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the
bid of William F. Rottgering in the sum of $16,550.00, less $3,570.00
for trade in of four (4) 711- H.P.Sirens, four (4) Remote control
panels and three (3) Air raid timers, plus <1100.00 crating and
handling charges, making a total delivery cost of $13,080.00
for the sale to the City of five (5) new Federal Thunderbolt
Model 1000 Sirens and associated equipment, having all specifica-
tions as required and set out in the resolution authorizing the
advertisement for bids for the purchase of same, adopted by the
Board of Commissioners on June 21, 1960.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of said
sirens and equipment as set out in Section 1.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,
and if adopted shall be in full force from and after its adoption.
