AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNTS TO BE CHARGED TO
PROPERTY OWNERS FOR CONNECTING TO CITY SEWERS CONSTRUCTED IN THE
TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
IENTUCKY ON OCTOBER 14, 1958; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
CONNECTION PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CONNECTION
CHARGES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS
THEREOF
WHEREAS, on October 14, 1958, by ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the.
following described territory was annexed to the corporate limits
of said city;
Beginning at a point where the present city limits (prior
to annexation ordinance of October 14, 1958) intersects
the north property line of Buckner Lane; thence in
a westerly direction and with the north property line of
Buckner Lane to a point where the west property line of
Thurman's Minerva Place Addition would, if extended, intersect
the north property line of Buckner Lane; thence with the west
property line of Minerva Place Addition, if extended, in a
southerly direction to the south property line of Buckner
Lane; thence continuing with the west property line of Minerva
Place Addition, in a southerly direction, to a point 75.121
south of the south property line of Sunset Avenue; thence in
an easterly direction and along a line parallel with Sunset
Avenue to a point in the west property line of Minerva Place
or 43rd Street, said point being 751 south of the southwest
corner of the intersection of Minerva Place and Sunset Avenue;
thence at right angles in a southerly direction and along the
west property line of Minerva Place 344; thence at right
angles in an easterly direction, 1091 from and parallel with
Sunset Avenue, to the east property line of Cardinal Lane or
42nd Street; thence in a northerly direction and with the
east property line of Cardinal Lane to the line dividing Lots 1
and 2 Block 6 Minerva Place Addition; thence in an easterly
direction with the south line of Lot 1 Block 6, a distance of
174.35'; thence at right angles in a southerly direction with
the side or west line of Lot 7 Block 6 and the rear or east
lines of Lots 2 and 3 Block 6, a distance of 1344; tb the south
west corner of Lot 7 Block 6; thence in an easterly direction
and with the rear or south line of Lots 7 and 8 Block 6, 121.55};
thence in a northerly direction and with the side or east line
of Lot 8 Block 6, to a point 101.14 from the south property line
of Sunset Avenue, said point being in the southwest corner of
Lot 23 Block F, Sunset Court Addition; thence in an easterly
direction and along the south line of Block F, Sunset Court
Addition, a distance of 593.61 to the center line of a 301 road;
thence in a southerly direction and bith the center line of said
road to the present city limits (prior to the annexation ordinance
of October 14, 1955); thence with the present city limits (prior
to the annexation ordinance of October 14, 1958) to the point of
beginning on Buckner Lane.
AND WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is now constructing certain
sewer lines within said territory, such lines being both sanitary
se:•rers and combination storm and sanitary sewers, and
WHEREAS, it is desired to establish the amounts to be charged
to property owners for connecting to such sewers constructed in such
territory
MOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01,11ISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IEHTUCKY:

SECTION 1. There is hereby established the following amounts
to be charged to property owners connecting to city sewers constructed
in the territory annexed to the corporate liVAits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky on October 14, 1955 described above:
•:550.00 for connecting to a sanitary sewer; and
5750.00 for connecting to a combination storm and sanitary sewer.
Such amounts to be paid to the City Treasurer.
SECTION 2. No connection to either a sanitary sewer or com-
bination storm and sanitary sewer shall be made by any property owner
or other person except under a permit for such connection issued by
the Director of Public Works of the City.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works shall not issue the
connection permit set out in Section 2 hereof until he has received
evidence that the proper connection fee has been paid to the City
Treasurer.
SECTION 4. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to make a connection to any sewer constructed in the
above described territory without having paid the proper fee as
set out herein and obtained the proper permit as set out herein,
and upon conviction shall be fined not less than 050.00 nor more
than ",x100.00 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be
deemed committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs
or continues.
SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
heretrith are, to the extent of such cohflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION u. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
