A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR ONE (1) NEW TRACTOR FOR USE IN THE PARK DEPARTb4ENT, AND
PRESCRIBING THE CO.MITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of one (1)
new industrial type rubber tired tractor with minimum specifications
as follows:
Four (4) cycle 40 H.P. (approximately) gasoline engine with
electric starting and lighting system; heavy duty front axle; inde-
pendent power take -off; three (3) point hitch suitable for agricultural
tools; 1300x24 8 -ply rear tires; 750x16 6 -ply front tires; power steering;
to be equipped with heavy duty industrial loader with 60 inch width
material bucket with 18 cu. ft. SAE capacity; crane attachment that
can be used in lieu of bucket; and colors to be as specified by the
City Manager.
Each bidder must state its nearest source of supply for parts and
services and furnish information as to future installation of a back-
hoe attachment.
All prices to be quoted FOB Paducah, Kentucky, and each bidder
is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the purchase price
of such tractor, and also the amount of such purchase price to be
allowed by accepting as trade-in of one (1) used Ford industrial
loader attachment with bucket and industrial crane attachment.
Each bidder shall state the length of time required for delivery
after the purchase cohtract is awarded and shall furnish full information
as to guarantees.
SECTION 2. The city Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published once a week for three
(3) consecutive weeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall
be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of
same. All bids received up to the time fixed in the notice for the
opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who
may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder. The Board reserves
the right to reject any and all bids and the City of Paducah shall not
become obligated to purchase said tractor until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
