FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF APPROXIMATELY FIFTY (50) PARKING
METERS; PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE AND
THE MANNER IN WHICH BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized
and requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of approximately
fifty (50) parking meters, heads only, to be installed on the streets

where parking meters are authorized, which shall be operated so as
to permit parking for a period of ten (10) hours for 25¢; for a
period of four (4) hours for 10¢ and for a period of two (2) hours
for 5¢. The meter heads are to be colored silver or aluminum.
Any meter heads so purchased shall be paid for from the proceeds
from the operation of same and fifty (501o) per cent of such proceeds
shall be paid monthly to the successful bidder until the entire
purchase price has been paid. Each bidder shall furnish complete
siecifications and date of delivery, and shall quote prices for
fifty (50) meters, together with an individual price per meter
in excess of the purchase price for fifty (50) meters.
SECTION 2. The Mayor shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the re-
quest for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published once a week
for three consecutive weeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid
shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the openigg,
of same. All bids received by the Mayor up to the time fixed in
the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board
of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best
bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall have the right to
reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally
obligated to purchase said meters until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
frim and after its adoption.
