tAN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION
OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH
WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF M:U-IISSIONERS ON NOVEI•IBER 6, 1939,
AND A-PIENDED ON DECEi,IBER 28, 1957
WHEREAS a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Trustees
of the Paducah Junior College has been created by the resignation
of John W. Polk, and it being necessary to fill said vacancy.
NO13 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C011-lTSSIONER3
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
November 6, 1939, and amended on December 2$, 1957, be amended and
reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall
read as follows:
"SECTIOU 1. That Beasley Vaughn be appointed a member
of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College to fill
the vacancy created by the resignation of John U. Polk, so that
said Board of Trustees as now constituted shall be composed of
John G. Russell, Brady M. Stewart, T. S. Waller, 'J. A. Conway,
Luther Carson, Dr. Leon Higdon, Schultz Riggs, Roy Vance, P--iarshall
E. Hemer, Howard Z. Gray, L. D. Stacey, Ed Trevathan, Ryan Hugg,
:9illiam A. Feiler and Beasley Vaughn.
Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in
the City of Paducah which has been established pursuant to the
provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165.200, and are to have all the powers
given to them pursuant to the provisions of said statutes."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
