A RESOLUTIOII REQUESTING THE CITY I'IANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) PACKER TYPE REFUSE BODY FOR USE
IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, AND
RRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON 11HICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
requested and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the
City of one (1) new packer type refuse body for use in the Refuse
Division of the Department of Public 1.11orks upon the following
terms and conditions:
The capacity to be approximately 16 cu. yds.; the body is
to be mounted by the successful bidder on a truck to be furnished
by the City and to be mounted at the plant of the successful bidder;
colors to be orange and black to be arranged as specified by the
City and lettering on the body shall be done by bidder in the
manner as specified by the City.
Each bidder shall state the time required to have the body
available for mounting and the time required to mount same/
Each -bidder is to state the amount he is grilling to accept
for the purchase price of said equipment as set out above and
dull details as to guarantee.
. SECTION 2. The City I+tanager shall advertise for bids by a
notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request.for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published once a week
for three consecutive creeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid
shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening
of same. All bids received by the City I''=Ianager up to the time fixed
in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board
of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best
bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to
reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally
obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption. Q
