AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF API ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING TI -19 COI,2-;ISSIOMERS OF 6VATER WORKS OF TFE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PLOT TO .CONSTRUCT OR CAUSE TO BE CONSTRUCTED ANY
ADDITIONAL WATER MAINS, OR ANY EXTENSIONS OF EXISTING MAINS, OUTSIDE
THE CORPORATE LI14ITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", `.9HICH WAS ADOPTED BY
THE BOARD OF CO!•4ISSIONERS ON FEBRUARY 10, 1959
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIJ94ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance having the tiele
quoted above which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucly on February 10, 1959, be, and the same is
hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That from and after the adoption of this ordinance
the Commissioners of [later Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
are hereby directed not to construct, or cause to be constructed, any
additional water mains, or any extensions of existing mains, outside
the corporate limits of the City of Paducah.
"Provided, however, when any additional main or extension of any
existing main is necessary to furnish water to
"(a) Any property now situated within the corporate limits
of the City, and
!T(b) Any property situated outside the corporate limits
of the City, but situated within an area which is involved in
annexation litigation in McCracken Circuit court and the owner
or owners thereof have requested annexation in said litigation,
this Board, by motion or resolution, may waive such restriction."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a
certified copy of this ordinance to the Chairman of the Commission=
ers of [Vater Works.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
