FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW FOUR WHEEL DRIVE PICK. -UP
TRUCK FOR USE IN THE FLOO9JALL DEPARTMENT AND PRESCRIBING THE
CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the
City of one (1) new four-wheel drive pick-up truck for use in the
Floodwall Department, having the following specifications:
Four Z'dheel drive; six cylinder; spare tire and wheel,
tires shall be mud grip; hot water heater; spot light; factory
built canopy top for bed; outside oil filter; patented front
wheel buds to allow front wheel drive to be disconnected at front
buds if available. Truck to be painted orange and black as
specified by the City, and all items considered extra equipment
shall be itemized in the bid.
Each bidder is to state the amount he is Drilling to accept
for the purchase price of said truck, and the amount he will allow
as a credit on such purchase price as trade-in of one (1) 1951
Willys pick-up truck which can be inspected at the floodwall office
at 2000 Meyers Street in Paducah. Each bidder shall state the
length of time required for delivery after a purchase contract is
awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a
notice posted at the City Hall door and by insetting notice of the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published once a week
for three consecutive weeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid
shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening
of same. All bids received up to the time fixed in the notice for
the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners
who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder. The said
Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and
all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to pur-
chase said truck until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
