AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH ASHLAND OIL & REFINING COD1PANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY FOR A PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1959 TO DECEMBER 31, 1959
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COY9IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
with Ashland Oil & Refining Company for the purchase of regular and
ethyl gasoline for 'the period of time from July 1, 1959 to December
31, 1959 upon the following terms, conditions and specifications:
Regular gasoline, octane rating 92, tank wagon price per gallon
0.231, discount 0.0261 per gallon; ethyl gasoline, octane rating 97
tank wagon price per gallon 0.256, discount 0.0311 per gallon.
The Company will furnish and install three (3) electrically
operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and required
concrete islands.
The Company will give emergency 24-hour truck service to any
point in the City of Paducah/
All.prices quoted herein shall be guaranteed against advance in
the market price and the Company, except as otherwise provided herein,
is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a
decrease in price of any of said items. In the event of a temporary
tank wagon price less than normal, the City will be charged with the
tank wagon price less the discount or the temporary tank wagon price
without the discount which ever results in the lower net price per
gallon of gasoline. All prices include state tax but are exclusive
of Federal Tax.
The terms of payment for gasoline referred to herein shall be
on the 10th of the month following the month of purhhase.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
