AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT 1tfITH D-XSUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL
MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC
OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1959 TO DECEMBER 31, 1959,
AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASES
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
for the purchase of motor oil; diesel fuel, chassis lubricant, gear
lube oil, hydraulic oil, kerosene and anti -freeze for the period of
time from July 1, 1959 to December 31, 1959 upon the following terms,
conditions and specifications:
Motor Oil in 55 -gallon drums as follows: D -X motor Oil
best premium grade detergent H -D (not to be a fleet oil) 0.76 per
gallon; TBD motor oil first grade detergent H -D 0.52 per gallon;
D -X Diamond motor oil first grade non -detergent 0.53 per gallon;
TBD motor oil diesel, high detergent 0.52 per gallon; Diamond
hydraulic oil (437) 0.45 per gallon.
Diesel Fuel No. 2 tank wagon price per gallon 0.163 per gallon,
Discount 0.03 per gallon.
Chassis Lubricant D -X all purpose (646) in 100-120 pound drums
0.21 per pound, discount 0/02 per pound.
Gear Lube Oil (weight 140 & 90) in 100--120 pound drums D -X Brite
Trans:.Lube 0.13 per pound, discount 0.02 per pound.
D -X Kerosene 0.165 per gallon, discount 0.03 per gallon.
Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans :2.17 per gallon,
discount 0.35 per gallon.
The terms of payment for items referred to herein shall be on
the 10th of the month following the month of purchase and shall
bear if discount in 10 days on motor oil and greases. All
drums will be returned by the City but no drum deposit will be
required.
The Company will furnish one (1) electrically operated and
metered diesel pump and underground tank. The Company will give
emergency 24-hour truck service to any point in the City of Paducah.
All prices herein are guaranteed against any advance in the market
price and the Company guarantees a corresponding reduction in price
in the event of a decrease in the market price of any of said items.
All prices include state tax but are exclusive of Federal Tax.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days thereafter.
