HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 932, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION RE'OESTING THE CITY DZANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE RE-MITTANCE MACHINE FOR USE IN THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01124ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested and authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah, Kentucky of one (1) Remittance Machine for use in the Finance Department of said City, having the following minimum specifications: At least 27 totals for income distribution; must indicate the received amount to everyone in sight of the machine; must certify the amount on the media used; must print a dated receipt for the customer; must control each transaction with locked totals and tapes; must have at least eight (8) amount rows; must have a full numerical descriptive keyboard and a full amount keyboard; must itemize multiple item transactions and compute the total 'to be paid; must be able to identify at least nine (9) cashiers, and must have at least eighteen (18) item counters. Each bidder is to state the amount he is willing to accept in cash for the purchase price of the machine bid upon by him and shall state the length of time requited for delivery after contract is awarded. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published once a week for three consecutive weeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest and best bdder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract. 933 SECTION 3.
