THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) I110.1I MOTORCYCLES FOR USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,
AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah, Kenu.cky of two (2) ne
motorcycles as follows to be used in the Police Department of the City.
One (1) new 3 -wheel motorcycle to include but not limited to electrical
supply sufficient to carry standard police equipment, plus other standard
police equipment. Each bidder shall furnish with his bid specifications of
the motorcycle; a detailed list of all accessories upon which he bids. Each
bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the purchase of the
motorcycle he offers for sale with all equipment installed, and also the
amount of such purchase price to be allowed by accepting as trade-in one (1)
Harley-Davidson Model 53G 1953 3 -wheel motorcycle.
One (1) new 2 -wheel motorcycle to include but not limited to Chrome
equipment group; electrical supply sufficient to carry standard police
equipment, plus other standard police equipment. Each bidder shall furnish
with his bid complete specifications of the motorcycle; a detailed list of
all accessories upon which he bids and shall show the price of all equipment j
installed. Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the
purchase price of such motorcycle.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be
posted and published at least seven (7) da ys prior to the opening of bids and
no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this reso-i
lution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal nor shall any bid be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed
with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best]

responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to
reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to
purchase said motorcycles, or either of them, until the adoption of an ordi-
nance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its a option. L
