POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO STRICTLY
ENFORCE AH ORDINANCE REQUIRII%TG THE OWNERS OF LAND IAI PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
TO CUT WEEDS THEREON
WHEREAS, under an existing ordinance heretofore adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, it is unlaw-
ful for an owner of land in the City of Paducah to allow weeds to
remain upon such land, and
WHEREAS, permitting weeds to grow within the City will cause
the property to become infested with mosquitoes, rats and other things
detrimental to the health and welfare of the residents of the city
and such weeds are also unsightly and mar the beauty of the community,
and
WHEREAS, all land owned by the City is being kept clean and free
from the accumulation of weeds
NOV1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COM1.1ISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and Police Department of the
City are hereby directed and ordered to strictly enforce the provisions
of the aforesaid ordinance and that all the violators be prosecuted
to the fullest extent. However, before a warrant is issued for any
violator, such violator will be notified to cut the weeds upon his
property and will be given one week in which to do so, and upon failure
to do so the City Manager or the Chief of Police shall cause a warrant
to be issued.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
