"AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF FIELD -OFFICE HELPER IN THE
REFUSE DIVISION, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SUCH POSITION AND FIXING
THE SALARY THEREOF", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ON JULY 10, 1956
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance having the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky on July 10, 1956, be, and the same is
hereby, amended and reenacted so that same as amended and reenacted
shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. There is hereby created the position of Field -
Office Helper in the Refuse Division of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
The duties of the person occupying said position shall be to handle
complaints by persons using the system, to coordinate the collection
of charges for the use of the system; to handle complaints by persons
using the services rendered by the Municipal Sewerage System, to
coordinate the collection of charges for the use of such system as
same was established by an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commission-
ers on April 12, 1958; and to perform such other duties and assignments
as may be directed by the Chief Foreman of the Refuse Division, the
Director of Public Works and the City Manager. The salary of the
Field -Office Helper shall be the sum of ::1305.00 per month and shall be
paid at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries of other
employees of the City are paid. After a person hgs occupied such
position for a period of six months after the effective date of this
ordinance, the salary thereof, upon recommendation of the City Manager,
shall be i?315.00 per month, and at the end of twelve months, upon
recommendation of the City Manager, said salary shall be 025.00
per month. Said position shall not be a civil service position or
covered by any provisions of the Civil Service Ordinance of the City
of Paducah or by any provision of the Civil Service Statute of the
State of Kentucky, and the person filling such position shall not
acquire any rights under the rules of civil service governing
employees of cities of the second class."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after May 12, 1958.
