FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF #9 AND #11 LIMESTONE, Kentucky STATE HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY DURING 1958, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of Paducah of #9 and #11 Limestone, Kentucky State Highway Specifications, required by the City during the year 1958 (approximately 5000 to 8000 tons) be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for -the purchase, upon the order of the City, of all such #9 and #11 limestone to be used during the year 1958, such contract to provide for the price of $2.10 per ton. The limestone to be delivered to any destination in the city limits of the city as ordered, by collect telephone call, by the Director of Public Works in one hundred ton lots or more and delivery to begin within twenty-four hours after notification and continue until the required amount has been delivered. All weights of delivered limestone must be certified at some accurate scale at or near the City of Paducah at the expense of the Seller. The Seller shall furnish representative samples of the limestone at the request of the Director of Public Works. The Seller shall guarantee against advance in the iparket price and guarantee reduction in the event of a decrease in the market price. The Seller shall post a performance bond in the sum of $1,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for publid inspection in the completed form in whidi it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
