PURCHASE OF CITE (1) kMI MOTOR GRADER, AND PRESCRIBIITG THE CONDITIONS UPOiT
WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CObIIIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,

SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of one (1) new
motor grader with the following specifications: Tandem drive of current
manufacture, diesel engine:. -with minimum of 110 H.P.; torque converter
with the transmission (also bid on transmission without torque converter);
hydraulic or mechanical power shift (shifts under full load while moving
forward or reverse); combination manual and power steering with hydraulic
booster; leaning fromt wheels; hydraulic shiftable moldboard; all controls
hydraulically or mechanically operated by hand levers in cab; deluxe
enclosed cab approximately 61 : 54" with safety glass, heater, and wind-
shield wiper; scarifier V -type with a'..minimum of eleven (11) teeth,
approximate 45" swath, teeth type replacable points; hydraulic brakes,
also emergency or parking brakes; electric starter, hour meter, generator
and muffler; front and rear tires 1300 - 24 12 -ply 100 level
first line, low pressure tires and tubes; adjustable light on each
side of cab front; parts manual and operating manual to be delivered
irith equipment; colors to be specified.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the
purchase price of the motor grader he offers for sale, and also the amount
of the purchase price as a credit by accepting as trade-in one (1)
caterpillar motor patrol grader ;'-12.
Each bidder, at the reo_uest of the City I•ianager, shall make a local
demonstration of the exact equipmnnt bid upon by him.
SECTIOII 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun Democrat. The notice shall
be posted and published at least (7) seven days prior to the opening of
bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on
which this resolution is adopted. IIo bid shall be received unless
under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fi_,ed in the
:notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City _ianager
up to the time fi_:ed in the notice shall be filed irith the Board of
,ornmissioners who may let the contract to the to=viest and best responsible
bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any
and all bids and the City shall not become le -ally obligated to purchase
said notir trader until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing; the
execution of a contract.

SBCTIOK 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
