BIDS FOR TH9 PURCHASE OF SEVEN (7) NEW 1958 STANDARD TUU -DOOR

PRESCRIBING THE COaDITIONS UPON 19HICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL 3E
BE IT RESOLVED BY TILE BOARD OF COIT>iISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, Y.ENTUCIM
SECTION 1. That the City 1,1anager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah,
hentucky of seven (7) nerr 1958 Standard 2 -door, 5 -passenger auto-
mobiles having eight cylinder engines, to be used in the police
department of the city. Each automobile is to be equipped with an
approximate 105 Amp. Alternator, installation of which is to be
supervised by the City, deluxe heater, oil bath, air cleaner
purilator, directional signals, spot light, standard first line
4 -ply tires and tubes vrith spare wheel and tire, automatic trans-
mission, color to be specified by the City.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash
for the purchase price of the seven (7) automobiles he offers for
sale, and also the amount of such purchase price to be allowed
by accepting as trade=in the following automobiles:
1 - 1955 4 -door Pontiac, Idotor No. P755S22694;
1 - 1955 4 -door Pontiac, Motor No. P755S22698;
1 - 1955 4 -door Pontiac, 11otor Co. P755S22735;
1 - 1955 Ir -door Pontiac, Dieter No, P755S22745;
1 - 1956 4 -door Plymouth, Motor No. P29248189;

Each bidder also is to state the amount he will accept in cash
for the purchase price of one (1) automobile, and also the amount
of the purchase price for same as a credit by accepting as a trade-in
each one of the above set out automobiles.
SECTION 2, The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun Democrat, The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened vn_thin ten (10) days
from the date on whish this resolution is adopted. Ido bid shall

be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after
the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Pianager up to the time fixed in the notice
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the lowest and best responsible bidder. The Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said
automobiles or any of them until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution o,: a contract.
SECTT_0P? 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
