AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES'
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", Ill-IICH IAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS ON DECE14BER 2, 1947 and AMENDED ON MARCH 16, 1957
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COW4II SSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 7 of the "Appointive Employees' Civil
Service Ordinance" which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on December 2, 1947 and amended on March 16, 1957 be, and the same
is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended
and reordained shall read as follows: A
"SECTION 7. There is hereby created and authorized the following'
positions in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position,
provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportion-
ment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

FinanceDirector, Head of Department
(To be known also as City Treasurer) $415.00
Assistant Treasurer 340.00
Auditor 311.00
Bookkeeping Machine Operator
(formerly Bookkeeper) (Retroactive to 1-1-1957) 255.00
Senior Clerk
(Formerly Deputy Treasurer) 240.00
Clerk -Stenographer 230.00
Machine Operator 230.00
Clerk -typist No. 1 (1 position) 220.00
Clerk -typist No. 2 (1 position) 190.00
The Clerk -typist No. 2 shall be paid at the rate of j190.00 per month
for the first six months; and at the expiration of six months $200.00 per
month; and at the expiration of another six months ti?210.00 per month; and
at the expiration of another six months ?220.00 per month; such increases
to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and
after November 1, 1957.
