AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FILIAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND
ZONING COMI.-aSSION RESPECTING THE AI,aNDMENT OF SECTION 7_7-J-6 AHD SEC`.PION 27-J-7
OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE AND APMNDING SAID SECTIONS
ISENTUCKY:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIa4ISSIONERS OF THE CITY CF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning and
Zoning Commission on April 7, 1954, entitled: "A RESOLUTIOb? CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COI,LKISSION ON THE PROPOSED
ARIENDIVIENT OF SECTION 27-J-6 AND SECTION 27-J-7 OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE",
be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters
therein set forth.
SECTIOIv' 2. That Section 27-J-6 of the Paducah Zoning Ordinance
(Ordinance Book 12, page 709) be, and it is hereby, amended so that in its
amended state it will read as follows:
116. Fence or Wall - A fence, lattice -work screen or
wall, maybe located in any required rear or
side yard if not more than 6 feet in height and
in any front yard if not more than 4 feet in
height, except for corner setbacks as required
in Section 11."
SECTION 3. That Section 27-J-7 of the said Paducah Zoning Ordinance
be, and it is hereby, amended so that in its amended state it will read as
f ollotiis :
"7. Landscape Feature - A landscape feature, such as
trees, shrubs, flowers or plants, shall be per-
mitted in any required front, side or rear yard,
provided that any hedge or thick growth of shrubs
in a required side yard does not exceed 6 feet
in height and when located in a required front yard
does not exceed 4 feet in height, except for corner
set backs as required in Section 11."
SECTION 4._ That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause,
the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not
affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose
and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section,'paragraph and
provision 4ereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
