A RESOLUTION DESCLAIMING ANY POSSIBLE GRANT OR DEDICATION
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR A PORTION OF A STREET PURPORTED
TO BE LOUISE STREET, AS EXTENDED, WHICH PORTION OF SUCH PURPORTED
STREET LIES WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF A TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO ROBERT
C. CHERRY BY DEED OF RECORD IPI DEED BOOK 324, PAGE 321 IN THE PdcCRACKEN
COUNTY COURT CLERKtS OFFICE; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PIYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUIT -CLAIM DEED FOR SUCH PROPERTY TO
ROBERT C. CHERRY
WHEREAS, on August 28, 1952, Robert C. Cherry purchased
certain land from Montana Lackey, formerly Montana Lackey Orr and
her husband, Eulis W. Orr, Jr. by deed of record in Deed Book 324
page 321 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
by and through its Board of Commissioners, to disclaim and reject
any interest whatsoever it may have in and to said property.
VOL"] THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COL1MISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, disclaim
and reject any interest in and to the following described land in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky which has been or could have been purported
to be louise street, as extended, said land being described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the south property line of
12th Street, if extended west from Rottgerings Addition
(Plat Book A, page 91) would intersect the east property
line of Louise Street, said point being 21$' west of the
west property line of Palm Street; thence in a northerly
direction and parallel with Palm Street north 10 degrees
east 666.37' more or less to a stone in the south line of
an alley; thence north 8005413719" west with the south line
of said alley 601; thence southwardly and parallel with
Palm Street South 10 degrees west 666.371 more or less
to an iron pipe on the north line of 12th Street; thence
south 7904515011 east with the north line of 12th Street
2$.951 to a stone in the north line of 12th Street; thence
continuing with the north line of 12th Street south
$10001 east 31.051 to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky a Quit -Claim deed to Robert C. Cherry conveying
to him any and all possible right, title or interest of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky in and to the land described in Section 1 of this Resolution.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
