AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT i7ITH D -X SUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR
AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR
LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE TO BE USED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FROM JULY 1, 1957 TO DECEMBER 31, 1957.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0141VIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City itanager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky with D -X Sunray Oil Company for the purchase of all Regular
and Ethyl gasoline, motor oil, diesel fuel, chassis lubricant, gear
lube oil, hydraulic oil, kerosene and anti -freeze to be used by the
City of Paducah, I:entucky from July 1, 1957 to December 31, 1957 on
the following terms and prices: Regular gasoline and ethyl gasoline
at the established tank wagon price at time of delivery, less Federal
tax and less discount of .?0.02 per gallon, and in no event is the net
price of regular gasoline to exceed ;?0.244 per gallon, less the above
discount of ,x0.02 per gallon, and in no event the net price of ethyl
gasoline to exceed ,?0.279 per gallon, less the above discount of
.?0.02 per gallon. The octane rating of regular gasoline to be not
less than 90 and the octane rating of ethyl gasoline to be not less
than 97. Motor Oils as follows: Best Premium Grade D -X detergent
H -D in 55 -gallon drums at ;0.74 per gallon; First Grade T.B.D. de-
tergent H -D at ';?0.46 per gallon; First Grade Diamond non -detergent
at•;10.50 per gallon; High detergent T.B.D. diesel at "'0.46 per gallon;
Diamond hydraulic oils at N0.43 per gallon; Diesel fuel No. 2 at
?0.155 per gallon, less discount of ti?0.015 per gallon; Chassis
Lubricant D -X All-purpose greast ;x642 in 100-120 lb, drums at ;?0.19
per pound, less discount of 9`0.02 per pound; Gear lube oil D -X Multi -
Purpose Gear Oil, weight 140 and 90 in 100-120 lb drums at :?0.155
per pound, less discount of .,x0.02 per pound; Kerosene at ?0.161 per
gallon, less discount of •,?0.015 per gallon; Anti -freeze, permanent
type in gallon cans at .,12.17 per gallon, less discount of ;?0.02 per
gallon.
All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or
before the 15th day of the month following the purchase. The prices
of gasoline shall be net, but the City shall have a 1;o* discount on
motor oils and greases and 20 discount on anti -freeze if paid for
on or before the 10th day of the month following the purchase. The
City shall not be required to make deposit on drums but is to return

all drums. All prices are to be guaranteed against advance and the
City is to.receive the benefit of any price reduction. The Seller
is to agree to give twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service
to any point within the City in the event of fire or other emergency.
The Seller is to furnish and install three (3) electrically
operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and required
concrete islands, and to furnish one (1) electrically operated and
metered diesel pump and underground tank.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and in adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
