AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIIE CLOSING OF A PUBLIC ALLEY AT THE
REAR OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2517 BRIDGE STREET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH
KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE IN THE
McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR TIIE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID ALLEY
LEGALLY CLOSED, THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO PiETAIH A TEN FOOT EASE -HENT
ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF SAID ALLEY FOR SEI^JER AND WATER RIGHTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01h1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize
the closing of a public alley more particularly described as follows:
Said alley being a dead end alley located at the
rear of the property noir owned by the Bridge Street
Shopping Center, Inc., located on the south side of
Bridge Street at 2517 Bridge Street, said property
having been conveyed to the Bridge Street Shopping
Center, Inc., by a deed from Robert Douglas and his
wife, Marguerite Douglas, dated the 24th day of Plarch,
1954, and recorded in Misc. Deed Book 345, page 428,
in the McCracken County Court Clerkts office. The
alley being closed is bounded as follows: on the north
by the south line of property owned by the Bridge
Street Shopping Center, Inc.; on the east by property
owned by the -Dr?dge Street Shopping Center, Inc.; on
the south by the north right of way line of the
Illinois Central Railroad Company; and on the west
by the wrest line of property owned by Bridge Street
Shopping Center, Inc.; said alley being 25 feet
wide and 10 feet more or less in length.
SECTION 2. An easement for sewer rights and water rights shall
be retained by the City of Paducah, Kentucky over a strip of land ten
feet wide along the south side of said alley.
SECTION 3. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah
is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to institute, pursuant
to the provisions of IRS 93.360, a suit for a decree ordering the
closing of the said alley.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
